Who Are They?

Thomas and Lilian Cullingham were fond of sea travel, taking a number of cruises during the 1930s and putting together an album of memorabilia for each of their journeys. In early 1937 Thomas and Lilian travelled on the 'Asturias' to South America and a selection of their photographs together with pictures of the menus and other printed items prepared on board are included here.

In 1932 American 'socialite' Ms Phoebe Sorel, aged 39, shot herself on board the SS Asturias.

Her great-nephew, Chris Reed, has kindly forwarded news clippings of her sad story .....
