In November 1948 Thomas Wilkinson, his wife Millie and children Gordon and Rosemary, travelled from Belfast via Liverpool then Southampton, where they began their journey to Australia on the Asturias.  Thomas kept a detailed diary which can be read on the Wilkinson Family page.  These photos are provided courtesy of Gordon Wilkinson.
